# Organizations

> Manage multi-seat access, invite team members, assign roles, and collaborate on assessments and remediation within your Ayliea organization.

An Ayliea organization is a shared workspace that lets multiple team members collaborate on assessments, share results, divide remediation work, and generate reports together. Organizations are available on the Organization subscription tier.

## Creating an Organization

When you upgrade to the Organization tier, you are prompted to create your organization and set its name. The account that creates the organization becomes the Owner.

If your organization already exists and you have been invited to join, you do not need to create one — accept the invitation link from your email to join automatically after signing in.

## Roles

Organization members have one of three roles that determine what they can do within the workspace.

| Role | Permissions |
| ---------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Owner** | Full access to all features, billing, organization settings, and member management. There is always exactly one Owner per organization. |
| **Admin** | Can manage members, assign roles, run assessments, view all results, and generate reports. Cannot change billing. |
| **Member** | Can run assessments, view shared results, and update recommendation status. Cannot manage members or billing. |

Roles are assigned when sending an invitation and can be changed at any time by an Owner or Admin.

## Inviting Team Members

To invite someone to your organization:

1. Navigate to **Organization** from the main navigation
2. Open the **Members** section and select **Invite Member**
3. Enter the invitee's email address and select their role
4. Click **Send Invitation**

The invitee receives an email with a secure link. After clicking the link and completing sign-up (or signing in if they already have an account), they are automatically added to your organization with the assigned role.

Pending invitations are visible in the Members section and can be cancelled before they are accepted.

## Managing Members

Owners and Admins can view all organization members, change member roles, and remove members from the organization. Member changes take effect immediately.

When a member is removed, their assessment contributions and assigned recommendations remain visible to the organization. Only their active access is revoked.

## Shared Assessments

Within an organization, assessments and their results are visible to all members. This means:

* Any member can see assessment scores, category breakdowns, and recommendation lists
* Recommendations can be assigned to specific members for ownership
* Report generation is available to all members

There is no concept of a private assessment within an organization workspace — all completed assessments are shared by default.

## External Auditor Access

To share results with an external auditor, use [Report Sharing](/product/reports#sharing-with-auditors) rather than adding the auditor as an organization member. Auditor share links provide scoped, time-limited access to specific reports without granting any access to your live workspace or assessment data.

## Organization Settings

Owners can configure the following from Organization Settings:

* **Organization name** — displayed on reports and in the workspace
* **Custom branding** — upload a logo for use on generated PDF reports
* **Member management** — invite, remove, and change roles

<Note>
Billing and subscription management is handled by the Owner account. Admins and Members cannot view or change billing details.
